In the DAR Magazine for May, 1936, Vol. 70 p. 455, there was this query: "Genealogical Department Queries 15630. BEESON; Wanted parentage of Ann Beeson who married David Lewis, also the date of their marriage. Would like to correspond with anyone interested in this line.

In the October, 1936, issue appeared the following reply: #15630. BEESON. -- Fuller data pertaining to the history of the Lewis family of Virginia and the Southern States has proved to be of interest to the descendants. A copy of the bible record of the family of David Lewis (born 1730, a son of John Lewis of Hanover county, Virginia) has been in my possession for many years. It belonged to Nathan Washington Perry, whose mother was Hannah Lewis (Harlan) Perry, youngest child of David and Ann Beason Lewis. This record was secured by Amos Mueron (?) Perry, an older brother of Nathan Washington (Perry), in 1846 when he made a trip from East Tennessee back to South Carolina and Georgia to visit relatives. It is an attested copy and bears the date of January 15th, 1846.

Who owns it now? Where is it?
