GENERAL SITE TIPS
If you are a descendant of Robert and Judith Stephens, we want you in our database! To see if you already are, go to the Search box and enter your name. Remember to use your birth name, and don’t use a nickname.
If you find yourself, you may want to Bookmark the page so you can return to it next time. If you want to add or correct any information just select Suggest to let us know.
If you don’t find yourself, select Contact Us and let us know so we can add you. You will need to let us know your family line back to someone who is in the database. Be sure to include your spouse if you’re married and any children you have.
Our Privacy Policy is to publish the names of all persons, living or dead, on this site, but no dates or places for anyone living. We would still like to have dates, etc. for our private database which won’t be published.
Each time you visit the site, check the Calendar to see important dates such as birthdays (deceased persons only) for the current or any month.
THE HOME PAGE
There are many interesting things you can do from the Home page. Here are just a few:
Most Wanted – displays family puzzlers and unidentified photos. Select “Tell us what you know” to send us information you have on any item.
Albums – accesses a list of any photo albums or collections of images.
Calendar – displays a monthly calendar of important dates for persons in the database (deceased persons only).
Bookmarks – accesses a list of previously saved Bookmarks of visited pages or views.
THE FAMILY TREE AREA
Much of your time will be spent in the Family Tree area of the site. It is here that you will find all the information on people in the database. Search for people, display details about the them, show their pedigree charts, etc.
From the Individual tab (or drop-down menu on mobile devices) you can view all information in the database about a person, including photos and images associated with him/her.
The Ancestors tab (or drop-down menu on mobile devices) displays the pedigree chart of the selected person. There are several ways to view the chart. The Compact view works well on mobile devices. To change the number of generations displayed in the chart, use the Generations drop-down menu.
Look for the Print (not available on mobile devices) and Bookmark links to Print or Bookmark any page or view. You can access previously saved Bookmarks from the Find menu.
Many of the same features on the Home page can be accessed from the Find, Media, and Info drop-down menus.
